For students & families
Yes. Your child can go to college.
Every year, families come to us believing school was the end of the road. It is not. Students with intellectual and developmental disabilities are studying in colleges across Delhi right now — with the right course, the right college, and the right support in place. We help you find all three.
Your child can go to college.
We help you find a good college.
We help with forms and exams.
We stay with you until the end. 🌟

We walk with you, from the first question to the final degree.
Most families arrive with the same three worries. Which college will take my child. How will they cope with the exams. What happens after. Think College @ MIHE answers all three. There is no cost to you for our guidance.
Families ask us three things.
Which college? What about exams? What after college?
We help with all three. It is free.

Assessment and counselling
You come in with your child. Our counsellors sit with both of you. Where it helps, we assess cognitive process, adaptive skills, behavioural profile or multiple intelligences — not to give a label, but to understand where your child is strong and where they will need help. We also listen to what your child wants. That matters more than most people assume.
You come and meet us. We find out what your child is good at. We ask your child what they want.
Placement and accommodations
We match your child to a course, a college and a mode of learning that fits. Then we help you get in — the application, the documents, the reserved seats for students with benchmark disabilities, the scholarships. Where the college needs a written explanation of what accommodations your child requires, we draft it.
We find the right college. We help you fill the forms. We write to the college about the help your child needs.
We stay
Admission is not the finish line — it is where the hard part starts. We call every term until your child graduates. If an exam accommodation lapses, we sort it out. If a teacher does not understand the condition, we speak to the college. If your child is struggling, we adjust.
We do not stop after admission. We call every term. We help if there is a problem.

Your child's College Fit Report
At the end of the counselling session you receive a written two-page report. It is yours to keep and to show anyone.
- Which colleges are realistic options for your child, and why
- Which course and learning mode suits them — regular, open, distance or vocational
- Which accommodations they are entitled to in class and in examinations
- Which documents you will need, and where to get each one
We give you a report on paper.
It says which college is good for your child.
It says what help your child can ask for.
It says which papers you need.
Most families tell us this is the first time anyone has given them a straight answer on paper.
When to come to us
Come to us two to three months before the window opens. Assessment, counselling and document collection take time, and rushing it helps no one. If you are outside these dates, still get in touch — there is always something useful to prepare.
Come to us early. Two or three months before admission starts. You can call us any time.
Your child has a legal right to exam accommodations
Extra time. A scribe. A separate room. Question papers in a readable format. Alternative ways of answering. These are not favours — they are reasonable accommodations under the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act 2016, and institutions are required to provide them. The problem is that most families do not know what to ask for, and many colleges do not know what to give. We handle both sides.
Your child can get extra time in exams.
Your child can have someone to write for them.
This is the law. It is not a favour.
We tell the college what to give.

Useful documents
You do not need to read all of these. We will point you to the ones that apply to your child.
