About Manovikas

An inclusive academic and rehabilitation institution serving people with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) — and the families who walk with them.

Manovikas started in 1997.

We help people who learn differently.

We are in Delhi.

Who we are

An institution, not a single programme

Manovikas Charitable Society was founded in 1997 in Delhi to make education, therapy, work and independent living genuinely accessible to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Today seven schools operate under one roof — covering early intervention, inclusive schooling, therapy, skills and lifelong learning — alongside academic, government and CSR partners.

Manovikas is many schools in one place. We help children, young people and adults. We help with learning, therapy, work and daily life.

Manovikas is registered under the Societies Registration Act, 1860, with 80G and 12A tax exemption and FCRA registration. Every rupee is reported transparently in our annual reports.

Why we exist

Mission, vision and values

Our mission

To enable people with IDD to learn, work and live with dignity — through inclusive education, therapy and lifelong pathways that adapt to each person.

We help people who learn differently to study, work and live well — in a way that fits each person.

Our vision

An India where every person, regardless of ability, can take part in education, work and community life — supported by systems designed to include them.

An India where everyone can learn, work and join in — whatever their ability.

Our values

Dignity in every interaction · Inclusion as the default · Transparency in our numbers · Lifelong support — we do not stop at age eighteen.

We care about dignity, including everyone, being open, and helping for life.

Leadership

Our governing body

Manovikas is governed by a board of trustees and an operating leadership team that meet regularly and report annually.

A group of trustees leads Manovikas. They meet often and report every year.
